Quality and supply process

Nine stages from enquiry to delivery follow-up. Steps may vary depending on the product, supplier, destination and commercial agreement.

From enquiry to delivery

Written out in full, because the gap between a good trading experience and a bad one is almost always in steps four to seven.

  1. Buyer enquiry

Received by form or email. Product, quantity and destination are the three details that determine everything downstream.

  2. Requirement review

Checked for gaps and contradictions before a supplier sees it. Unclear points are raised now, not later.

  3. Product and supplier search

Options identified and shortlisted on specification match and the documentation each can issue.

  4. Specification confirmation

The agreed specification is written down and confirmed with you. This document governs the order.

  5. Commercial quotation

Price, packing, lead time, incoterm and validity. Anything unconfirmed is listed as unconfirmed.

  6. Order confirmation

Commercial terms accepted in writing, including inspection arrangements and what happens on rejection.

  7. Documentation coordination

Commercial, transport and, where applicable, certificate or permit documents prepared and checked against destination requirements.

  8. Logistics coordination

Transport booked to the agreed terms, with packing verified against transport mode and destination conditions.

  9. Delivery follow-up

Consignment tracked to arrival, with documentation queries handled through to clearance.

What quality means here

Quality is the specification you agreed, delivered as agreed and documented so it can be proved. Where testing or third-party inspection is required, it is arranged as part of the order rather than offered as an extra.

What is not claimed

IMPX holds no quality certification that is published on this website. Where a supplier holds a certification, their certificate is passed on as issued. No certification is claimed on a supplier's behalf and none is implied.

Process steps may vary depending on the product, supplier, destination and commercial agreement. This page describes the standard approach, not a contractual commitment.
