How a custom requirement is handled
A custom enquiry is assessed in three passes: can it be sourced at all, can it legally reach your destination, and does the quantity make commercial sense to ship. Only then does it become a sourcing exercise.
You will hear back either with options, or with a clear explanation of what is blocking it. Both are more useful than a holding reply.
- Send a drawing, sample photo, part number or written specification.
- Include the destination — it changes which suppliers are even possible.
- Say if a specific standard or certificate is mandatory for you.
- An approximate quantity is enough to start; exact figures can follow.
